“The Mix, Select,” is the second of two group shows featuring artists from The Mix Co-op at Niza Knoll Gallery, 915 Santa Fe Drive. Diverse styles of artwork by Victoria Eubanks, Mark Friday, Pat Lickly and Aliki McCain will extend from their smaller display area in the back of the space into the entire gallery. The public is invited to view and purchase work from October 23–December 6, 2026, during regular business hours, Friday–Sunday, 1–4 p.m. and during the following special events:

  • Artist Reception: Sat, Oct 24, 5–8 p.m.

  • First Friday Artwalk: Fri, Nov 6, 5-9 p.m.

  • Third Friday on Santa Fe: Fri, Nov 20, 5–8 p.m.

  • First Friday Artwalk: Fri, Dec 4, 5-9 p.m.

Victoria Eubanks is mindful that we never walk along. Her series is about remembering her roots and honoring those whose shoulders she stands on. The shoulders extend beyond her genetic ancestry to a broad and inclusive of community, friends, mentors and teachers who nudged and loved her forward.

Continually inspired by the bit and bobs he gathers for material, Mark Friday combines this-and-that and other stuff to create quirky configurations.

Pat Lickly will display a retrospective of her earlier work that helped define her artistic style. Her "Robe Series" depicts ceramic robes as subject matter with a cultural bent. Her works eventually phased into smaller shadow box ceramic robes and larger format mixed media pieces. She looks forward to reacquainting her audience with this side of her work, alongside more current pieces that explore the natural world.

Aliki McCain sees nature as her muse, constantly collecting small items while in the outdoors then integrating these found objects into her artwork. The increasing distractions present in daily life, can create a struggle to recognize our direct connection to the natural world. Her pieces challenge the viewer to see with new eyes and take in the details of the nature surrounding us.
