About Art District on Santa Fe.jpg

This a community rich in heritage. A home for artists.
This is Denver's Art District on Santa Fe.

Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe (ADSF) is a nationally known arts and cultural district, encompassing hundreds of artists, galleries, studios, theaters, and creative businesses along Santa Fe Drive in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2003, ADSF is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit membership organization and one of the first Certified Creative Districts in the state.

Historically anchored by pioneering spirit, ADSF has long-championed citizen creativity as a cultural crossroads of the city. Thousands visit from the Rocky Mountain region and beyond during the monthly First Friday Art Walks to experience the highest density of art galleries in the country.

While our name is rooted in the arts, we’re not only a creative community. Our District reflects the neighborhood’s rich, cultural fabric—a symbol of our storied past and bright future. Steeped in Latino heritage and today representing a diverse population, we aim to honor our heritage and support creativity. For all.

Welcome to our community—Denver’s gateway to art and culture.

OUR MISSION

The Art District on Santa Fe is dedicated to promoting public awareness of the north Santa Fe Drive area in Denver, Colorado as a unique art, cultural and creative district, and furthering arts, culture, creativity and its education in the Denver metropolitan community.

Denver's Art District on Santa Fe (ADSF) envisions an art community that is accessible and inclusive to all. We champion a vibrant, economically sustainable creative sector that nurtures artists and educates patrons, strengthening the relationship between creativity and daily life.

To fulfill our mission and live out our values, we are committed to providing a safe place for everyone to engage with us to fulfill the desire for discovery through business and the arts, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, and range of abilities. LAND acknowledgement statement

The Art District on Santa Fe (ADSF) resides on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary homelands of Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute peoples. Historically in the state of Colorado, indigenous peoples have succumbed to massacres, enslavement, being forcibly removed from their homes, and having their culture largely ill-perceived and misinterpreted. As a non-profit art district, we strive to create inclusive spaces that encourage conversation and push the boundaries of what is normally perceived as a simple craft—we instead root for intersectionality.

The ADSF will continue to uplift indigenous voices, proudly and accurately showcase cultural works by indigenous creatives, be an active listener to keep our spaces safe and authentic, and support ongoing efforts to aid and advocate for all sovereign nations that call this land home.
