Artists on Santa Fe Gallery is proud to present “Layers of Intent,” a striking new collection of modern abstract art by Christine Segal, on view October 16 - November 15, 2026, at 747 Santa Fe Drive. Her works contain bold textures, fluid forms, and unexpected color palettes, built up with paint on canvas and board, layer over layer.

The public is invited to view and purchase work during an artist reception on Third Friday, October 16, 6 – 9 p.m., as well as the First Friday Art Walk on November 6, 5 – 9 p.m. and during regular gallery hours as listed below.

Segal builds her richly textured surfaces through layering and scraping to reveal what lies beneath. This interplay of concealment and revelation mirrors how we perceive the world — nothing seen all at once but rather unfolding slowly over time.

Each painting carries the memory of its own making: earlier marks resurface, accidents become intention, and the final composition holds the weight of every intuitive choice along the way. The works invite the viewer to slow down and look deeper to find the story taking shape.
