Join the MSU Denver Dance Program and Center for Visual Art for an interdisciplinary performance inspired by CVA’s current exhibition Dance of Resistance. The performance will take place amongst the artwork in the CVA galleries. Student performers will explore the themes presented in the exhibition through choreographed movement and dance.
Dance of Resistance is an exhibition featuring the work of LGBTQ+ artists who voice the stories of their communities, exploring histories and offering pathways to healing and empowerment. Through figural depictions that place the Queer body firmly in the spotlight, the artists reveal their lived experiences and imagined futures, illuminating the power of art to inspire change and foster understanding in our diverse world.
The Center for Visual Art (CVA) is the off-campus art gallery for MSU Denver, showcasing contemporary artists whose work sparks dialogue and creates pathways to change. CVA offers free admission for everyone to its exhibitions.
This event is free and open to the public, but please RVSP before attending.
