September will feature Abstract work by Tara Kelley-Cruz in “Deconstructed” running From August 30 – October 1, 2023.

The public is invited to view the show during the First Friday Art Walk on September 1, 5-9 pm and during an Artist Reception on Third Friday, September 15, 5-8 pm in addition to regular gallery hours as listed below. Fine art by other members will also be on display, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media and sculpture.

Kelley-Cruz uses acrylic paint, collage, various mark-making tools and other mixed media in her work, exploring relationships and connection by forcing seemingly unrelated forms to interact. As part of her process, she employs composition, line and color in creating work that is full of juxtaposition, yet is considered, uncontrived, and impactful.

Born in Amarillo, Texas, Kelley-Cruz currently lives and works in Colorado Springs. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University, continuing her education in painting and studying under artists such as Krista Harris, Nicholas Wilton and Bibby Gignilliat. She has taken part in several solo and group exhibitions including notable exhibitions at G44 Gallery in Colorado Springs, D’art Gallery in Denver, and the Arvada Center in Denver. Her work is part of private collections across the United States and in the UK.

The Artists on Santa Fe Gallery at 747 Santa Fe Drive showcases the work of member artists whose work ranges from functional and sculptural ceramics, abstract and plein air paintings to photography, printmaking, and jewelry. The building is also home to the working studios of 25 + artists. The gallery is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 11 am to 3 pm, Fridays and Saturdays, 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays, Noon to 4 pm.
