Lisa Calzavara, Denise Demby, and Gaby Zapien share an exhibition exploring the visual poetry of water, the invisible connections between strangers, and the infinite possibilities of femininity in art.

In Reflections, Lisa Calzavara presents a colorful abstract painting series in three parts, moving from water lilies to shifting streams to sunlit depths, capturing water's dual nature as both calming and restless.

In Strangers I Know, Gaby Zapien paints portraits of people she's never met, drawn from found photographs and chosen for a fleeting, arresting expression rather than identity; faces are distilled to essential lines and rebuilt in layered color. The result is intimate and uncanny — you feel you know them, and may glimpse something of yourself.

Rounding out the show, Denise Demby's Out of Square expands on her expressionist series "Fields at the Edge" with small-scale shaped canvases and sculptural mixed-media wall pieces that blend painting, object, and shadow.

The three bodies of work offer a shared meditation on fluidity, form, and feeling.
