Where art practices intersect through shared language of line, structure, form and matter Talia Johns and guest artist Penelope Sharp collaborate in this multi-dimensional show. Combining wire, thread, wood, stone and found elements, their sculptures explore connection and tension, where geometric and fluid forms coexist and distinctions between authorship dissolve.

Standing at a commanding 68x58”, the featured works by Jim Lawler serve as a forensic record of physical energy. Utilizing drawing, layering and scraping techniques, Lawler moves beyond the decorative to document the “architecture of a gesture”. The series ranges from heavy industrial textures of slate and acid yellow to atmospheric deep blue expanses, all unified by a consistent, rhythmic brushwork. “These works are not static images; they are records of physical force” says Jim.
