His timely work , “The Fragmented House” expands Abraham Lincoln’s warning that “a house divided against itself cannot stand,” but moves beyond political rhetoric toward psychosocial collapse. The division is not only national; it is internal, domestic. This phrase serves as a lens through which Agüero examines fractures in human relationships, families, societies, and nations.
