Portal Gallery at ReCreative Denver is thrilled to announce our upcoming exhibition, Threads of Identity, the collected works of Alehna Taylor. Join us on celebrating this incredible body of work on Friday, May 2nd at 7pm.

This portrait series explores queer identity within a small Denver community through interviews, clothing, and pose choices that reflect each subject’s self-expression. Painted with oils on fabric chosen to represent each individual, the works examine the tension between how we present ourselves and how we are perceived. Through color, texture, and gesture, the series invites viewers to consider the fluid, multifaceted nature of identity.
