MoP Call for Entries: ADSF Photography Exhibition

  • Art District on Santa Fe 858 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO, 80204 United States (map)

The Art District on Santa Fe is excited to announce the open call for our Month of Photography exhibition centered around the theme of our very own neighborhood! 📸✨

La Alma Lincoln Park, home of ADSF, is one of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods. Located on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary homelands of Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute peoples, the neighborhood’s cultural heritage has since been shaped by a rich history of immigrant communities and the influence of the 1960’s Chicano movement.

As we strive to both honor our past and celebrate a continually diverse and accessible future, this exhibition will explore the stories, traditions, landmarks, and people that shape the community we call home. What defines a neighborhood, both literally and beyond its physical boundaries? What people, spaces, rituals, traditions, and values make our neighborhood unique? How does our history and heritage inform the dreams and visions ahead of us? We are seeking photographic works that consider these questions, engaging the past, present, and future of this neighborhood and its role as a landing pad for the intersection of art and community.

Artists do not need to be from these neighborhoods, but submitted work should have some connection to La Alma Lincoln Park/ADSF, and speak to the above themes and questions. We will consider work in all photography formats, including mixed media pieces featuring original photography. Artists must be based in Colorado and able to deliver work if selected.

🌟 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SUNDAY, FEB 9TH
