Colorado Women Artist Museum mission statement: Our goal in this exhibition is to show just the extraordinary depth and breadth of the women artists living and working in Colorado. We recognize the significant lack of representation of artwork by women visual artists in commercial galleries and museums nationwide and in Colorado. Women comprise half the population and are currently only about 13-17% of the artists you can find in exhibitions. And so, we commit to the mission of elevating, encouraging and exhibiting Colorado Women Artists.
