Experience an artistic collaboration exhibit titled Bustin' Out, at 931 Gallery. Judy Doherty, an abstract watercolorist, and Deborah Carlson, a glass artist, have created a non-traditional, contemporary exhibit. They've blended their ideas and philosophies from two traditional media into cohesive narratives and themes that unite their pieces.
Deborah Carlson has been working with the medium of glass for over 40 years. She has taught in national craft and glass schools and studios, including a month-long artist-in-residence in Taiwan. While mostly nature-oriented, her work can have a diverse calling, venturing or blending from traditional to contemporary techniques and ideas. Judy Doherty, the daughter of an artist, has been creating art since she was 4, working alongside her mom in watercolors and silkscreen prints. Her passion is to work on topics that promote awareness of pollinators and sustainability.
