Nea Brown “Solace”
“To give comfort, to soothe, to make cheerful.” Nea Brown finds solace in painting plants. This exhibit contains cheerful flowers, fanciful forests, and trees. Finding beauty even in dead trees consoles her. Nea’s paintings provide her with a counterweight to the world’s frantic pace, dramatic changes, and seemingly insurmountable challenges. Her paintings focus on the cycle of life from birth to death. They also give her joy and a sense of playfulness. Nea receives so much just from tubes of oil paint, brushes, and canvas.
K Jackson “Boundless Beauty”
K Jackson has spent over ten years capturing images using a perspective of simplicity and elegance. Known for her bold yet minimalist style, her photography explores the subtle interplay of light, texture, and emotion, revealing the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary. With a unique ability to see things differently, she creates images that feel both timeless and personal, inviting viewers to pause and reflect. Her work has been exhibited locally and across the United States, earning acclaim for its striking yet understated aesthetic. Featured in DARIA Magazine, she continues to explore the boundaries of fine art photography, blending the technical with the creative to craft visuals that leave a lasting impression.
Marilyn Wells “Primal”
Marilyn Wells’ Primal paintings are rooted in the ancient practice of Japanese Zen Buddhist sumi-e (ink on paper) but go beyond technique to tap into the original, primal human instinct to express feelings of body, heart, and soul before thought and speech evolved. With black strokes on spacious white backgrounds, these meditative works invite viewers to pause and reconnect with their essence. Inspired by Zen, haiku, and art as meditation, Primal bridges the raw and the transcendent, opening a dialogue with the timeless Origin—the source of all life.
