Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe is excited to announce the opening of our second-ever Emerging Artists Residency Class Show, EMANATE.

Opening Friday, February 3rd, 2023, during our February First Friday Art Walk, EMANATE will feature works by ADSF’s current Emerging Artists in Residence: Leslie Fitzsimmons, Shadae Hunt, and Diana Ruth. The artists will be showcasing works created during their three-month residency and other original pieces.

"Emanate" comes from the Latin 'emanare' which means "to flow out, spring out of, arise, proceed from." e ("out") + manare ("to flow"). The name was inspired by the three artists in residency and their emerging states of practice. Having been making and creating long enough to know what they each excel at, and what works for them, the artists find themselves at a point in their individual practices where they’ve been successful in exhibitions, mastered their techniques, and feel confident in their unique styles. Now, flowing from this successful beginning, they have begun to proceed into the next phases of practice.

EMANATE will be on display at the Art District on Santa Fe Studios (858 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO) through the end of February, 2023. Join us for an opening reception with the artists from 5:30-9pm this February First Friday!
