Bitfactory Gallery is proud to present West by Midwest a Tenet Podcast Showcase. Since 2019, likable podcasters Todd Pierson and Wes Brown have been posting weekly conversations with individual artists discussing their beginnings, influences, process, and how they make a living as an artist. Having been a guest on the show, Gallerist Bill Thomason was impressed with their support of and contribution to the art scene—especially in Denver—and wanted to express that appreciation by inviting them to choose a few of their favorite featured artists for an exhibit.

West by Midwest was born from the analogous aesthetic of the artists selected by Pierson and Brown. Curation of the works was handled by Thomason and Pierson resulting in a beautiful, varied, and sometimes haunting show representing wide-open, rural landscapes. The three featured painters— Shannon Mello of Colorado Springs, Meghan Wilbar of Pueblo, and Mark Zimmerman from South Dakota—depict the landscapes in which they reside and hold dear.

The public is invited to view the show at 851 Santa Fe Drive December 16, 2022 – January 12, 2023, during regular business hours Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 am–3 pm and by appointment, and for the special events.
