Niza Knoll gallery is inviting regional artists to submit work for their annual HOLY MOLY art exhibit. Past Holy Moly exhibits have focused on religion, politics, and pandemic realities. This call for entry is focused on the future. Do you have a positive outlook about the future? A hopeful outlook? Or does the future feel more doom and gloom? Artists are asked to submit work that uses their creative skills to reflect a vision of the future and influences of the past, for better or worse, using a personal or a global perspective. They can consider environmental, political, religious, medical, or other societal issues. Perhaps envision an issue with an ideal utopian outcome? Or dystopian future?
The deadline for submissions is November 28, 2022. All submissions must be made through the CaFE website www.callforentry.org. The full prospectus can be found at bit.ly/HOLYMOLY2022 for link. This is a regional call for entry. Work is submitted digitally however accepted artists must be able to deliver their work to the gallery themselves (or via a representative) on a specific day and pick up their work when the exhibit closes. The exhibition of accepted work runs December 9-January 14, 2023. Artists can submit up to 3 pieces for the non-refundable fee of $35. Entries will be juried by Florence Blackwell and Susan Aplin Pogue of Magpie Arts Collection. All accepted artwork will also be exhibited and for sale live in the gallery and on the gallery website.
