Niza Knoll Gallery is rounding out its Mix Co-op artist series with an exhibit by Paula Romero Schmitt and Victoria Eubanks, August 6 - September 10. The duo will both showcase lively mixed-media work that incorporates encaustic, an ancient medium that uses wax and heat as a binder for pigment. Romero-Schmitt stays within a specific flower and bumblebee theme for this show while Eubanks' more abstract work moves across a continuum of sizes and ideas.
The public is invited to view the exhibit at 915 Santa Fe Drive during regular gallery hours Fridays and Saturdays from 1-5 pm and Sundays from 1-4 pm. While there will be no opening reception for this show, the gallery will be open for special events including from 4 to 9 pm for the First Friday Art Walk on August 6th in which Santa Fe Drive will be closed to car traffic for the evening. The Sundays on Santa Fe series continues August 29th where many galleries on the street will be open 11-3 pm. Artwork is also available to view and purchase online at www.nizaknollgallery.com.
