CALL FOR ENTRIES: Holy Moly, 2020! The Year 'Til Now

  • Niza Knoll Gallery 915 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO, 80204 United States (map)

In years past, Niza Knoll Gallery has held a provocative juried exhibit around religious and political commentary called Holy Moly. This year, the ever-changing global public health crisis, political divides, racial tensions, and human rights protests have combined to create a climate of uncertainty and have prompted many people to express their experiences and perceptions through their art. The gallery is inviting artists to submit original artworks that reflect the artists’ personal contemplation and feelings about the events of this year so far.

The deadline for submissions is September 4, 2020, and all submissions must be made through the CaFE website www.callforentry.org where the full prospectus can be found (visit www.nizaknollgallery.com for link). This is a regional call for entry. While work can be submitted digitally, accepted artists must be able to deliver their work to the gallery themselves (or via a representative) on a specific day, and pick up their work when the exhibit closes. The exhibition of accepted work opens September 18 and runs through October 31, 2020. Artists can submit up to 3 pieces for the non-refundable fee of $35. Entries will be juried by Artist Victoria Eubanks. All accepted artwork will also be exhibited and for sale live in the gallery and on the gallery website.

Other important dates are as follows: Entry deadline: September 4, 2020 Artists notification: September 8, 2020 Accepted Art drop-off: September 15, 2020 Exhibit dates: September 18, 2020 – October 31, 2020 Art pickup: November 1, 2020
