D’art Gallery Hosts “Printmaking Plus” Exhibition at Payge Art Gallery in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe 

In conjunction with the Mo’Print, Month of Printmaking Celebration, Payge Art Gallery is the location for the “Printmaking Plus” exhibition sponsored by D’art Gallery, 900 Santa Fe Drive, from January 2–26, 2020.     

The exhibition opens with a “Sneak Peak Artists Awards Reception” on Thursday, January 2 from 6–9 p.m., followed by three receptions in the first four weeks of January. D’art Gallery and Payge Gallery are participating in the Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe First Friday on Friday, January 3 from 6–9 p.m. An Artists Reception is scheduled for Friday, January 10 from 5–9 p.m. and Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe Third Friday Art Night on Friday, January 17, from 6–9 p.m.      

Printmaking Plus    

“Printmaking Plus” Exhibition features the work of 36 artists demonstrating innovative approaches to creating work by printing on paper and other surfaces. The various processes included in this exhibition are intaglio, Mezzotint, etching, screen printing, woodblock, solar plate, dry point, gouche pochoir, monotype with Chine Colle, linocut, and mixed media monoprint.  

Juror

Mark Lunning, Master Printer and owner of Open Press for 30 years, is the juror for the “Printmaking Plus” Exhibition. He has worked with hundreds of artists from across the country in Intaglio, Relief Printing, Monotype, Silkscreen, Wood Cuts, and Solar Prints.  Lunning is one of the founders of the Denver Month of Printmaking, celebrating the 4th Biennial Celebration.

Gallery Hours are Thursdays, Noon to 5 p.m., Fridays, Noon to 9 p.m., Saturdays, Noon to 5 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m.
