Art Restart is a social enterprise of The Gathering Place, Denver's only daytime shelter for women, transgender individuals, and their children experiencing homelessness or poverty. Art Restart takes select art made by members in the studio at The Gathering Place and reproduces it on a variety of products, such as scarves, tote bags, journals, cards, and calendars. With each purchase, the artist receives a check, helping her on a path to self-sufficiency. More than that, artists feel confident in themselves and see value in the work they do in the community.
