The exhibit will run from May 18, 2018 through June 7, 2018 with an Opening Reception Third Friday, May 18th from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Kari Bell is a Denver-based contemporary abstract oil and cold wax painter whose goal is to explore the dimensions of the self and the world as well as push the limits of understanding.
Prerna Kapoor is India-born, Japanese artist, now living and working in Denver. “I firmed in my resolve to learn and explore my love for colors further. From being a Japanese interpreter and translator to full-fledged devoted to painting, the journey has had its moments of vacillation as well. It enriched my color palette as well as adding to my repertoire.”
Anna Marie Mead a West Virginian native, has been living and working in Colorado for over 40 years. She in now based out of Evergreen. “Painting expresses what I am feeling, seeing and hearing all around me. Nature has always been the inspiration for my work: cloudscapes, ocean scenes, wind-swept hillsides and glorious sunsets.”
Elaine Wendt is a Denver-based abstract expressionist. “My works are created from a place of curiosity, vulnerability, necessity and courage. As an environmental and geospatial student my pieces reflect a need to understand the mundane through the abstract. My work in remote sensing technologies has given me the unique opportunity to display the world I live in, as seen from satellites while art has given me the opportunity to display the world as seen by my own two eyes in a way that I feel explores the sensitivities often hidden in a technological world.”
