Craig Winston is a classical guitarist and teacher based in Denver, Colorado. He began an intense pursuit of classical music in 2019, culminating with a Master of Music degree from Lamont School of Music in 2023. Since completing graduate studies, a busy touring schedule has taken him to performances throughout the United States, from concert halls to intimate home recitals. Craig’s virtuosic performances are elevated by his on-stage charm and engaging storytelling as he guides his audience on a journey from the Baroque to 20th Century Classical Music of the Americas. While his repertoire is very diverse, Craig’s programs offer new experiences to many concert goers as he includes under-represented works and composers in his concerts.
As an instructor Craig specializes in teaching adults, emphasizing that anyone can learn and excel at guitar, no matter when they start. His students study the technical aspects of guitar while expanding their knowledge of guitar composers throughout the musical eras, along with applied music theory and musicianship skills.
Craig is available to perform for concerts and private events and offers classical guitar lessons at his studio in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District and online.
