Have an idea of something you’d like to paper mache? Bring your ideas to life at the paper mache workshop led by ADSF Emerging Resident Artist Andrea Garcia of Loose Screws.

Participants will use discarded cardboard, newspaper and some glue to create paper mache sculptures. Students will also learn how to cut and manipulate cardboard and specific paper mache sculpting techniques, as well as how to make their own DIY paper mache paste.

This is a free form class, meaning not everyone will be working on the same project and instructor time will be more 1 on 1. Participants are encouraged to come with an idea already in mind but if not, that’s okay! Creating paper mache mushrooms is a popular and easy start for beginners! Participants will take home their piece at the end of class.
