As the year 2020 has progressed into an ever-increasing climate of uncertainty surrounding the global public health crisis, political divides, racial tensions, human rights protests and more, artists have been compelled to express their experiences and perceptions through their art. In past years the popular Holy Moly juried show at Niza Knoll Gallery focused specifically on religious and political themes but opened up the call for entries this year to reflect personal contemplation and feelings around the events of 2020 so far. The gallery is proud to announce “Holy Moly, 2020! The Year ‘til Now” Juried Show, opening live at 915 Santa Fe Drive and virtually at www.nizaknollgallery.com, September 18, 2020 – October 31, 2020. Works will be available to purchase in the gallery and in the online store. The public can sign up on the website for a 20-minute “First Chance Viewing” slot on September 18 or 19 from 1-5 pm. Masks and social distancing required.
The pieces in the show run the gamut from dark abstracts and stunning portraiture to whimsical assemblages and works that reflect the chaos and stress felt by many. Exhibiting artists include: Carol Bivins, Mark Orne, Topher Straus, Sally Eckert, Michael Jorgensen, Jan Janas, Susan Hershman, Bill Nelson, Niza Knoll, Haley Knowles, Lois Lupica, Lisa Gallun, Kathy Thaden, Ruth Lawlor, Ellen Beller, Jane Mahoney, Janyce Jaramillo, Melody Epperson, Kristina Davies, Rajita Tippavajhala, Tara Gonzalez, S Tuke, Christa Stephens, Carin Reich, Mark Evans, Max Maddox, Raya Maggor, Christi Palitto, Erica Smith, Kelly Austin-Rolo, Denise Dambrackas, Carla Lopez and Gulnar Rawji.

Her work can be seen locally at Niza Knoll Gallery, where she is a long-time member of the MIX Co-op, and Westward Gallery. She has been a curator and juror for local exhibitions and has served on the board of the Art Students League of Denver. Victoria also has a passion for teaching.
