Denver’s Contemporary Art Gallery in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe Hosts a Solo Exhibition, “Reconnecting” by Lisa Calzavara in Gallery East Located at 900 Santa Fe Drive, D’art Gallery hosts in Gallery East a solo exhibition by Lisa Calzavara from Thursday, April 8 through Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Art appreciators are encouraged to visit the gallery to see the work in person. Visitors are required to practice social distancing and wear a mask. As part of the “Sundays on Santa Fe” in the Art District on Santa Fe, D’art Gallery will be open for the special event, from 11 am to 4 pm. Additionally, Lisa Calzavara will host an “Open Artist Discussions” on Sunday, April 18 from 1-3 pm Reconnecting – Solo Exhibition by Lisa Calzavara Lisa Calzavara’s exhibition “Reconnecting” features contemporary abstract oil paintings.

The art work was created in response to the many challenges everyone has experienced in 2020. The contemporary abstracts Lisa designed are a narrative of the emotional rollercoaster everyone has endured. The pieces range from surrealism to extreme abstraction with high contrasts of colors echoing the strange and volatile times. The focus of each piece is an expression of how individuals connect with others even in times of isolation. Each painting can be interpreted differently based on an individual’s experiences. Sharing those experiences with others helps in understanding and reconnecting to the world. Lisa Calzavara continues to use her finance degree from Northern Illinois University and finds time for her passion in being creative. She specializes in a variety of mediums, including encaustic, acrylic, resin, oil, and looks forward to new challenges as she pursues her innovative visions.
