Alicia Bailey + Ravenpress, “Evanesco”
Considering words has long been grained into my reckoning with the here and now of existence. Referencing the Latin word 'evanescere' (to disappear, vanish) this exhibit presents a selection of works that contemplate the ways in which my landscape (physical, social, emotional and intellectual) is being altered by disappearances.

Keith Howard, “Landscapes in the Dark”
This latest crop of abstract drawings results from following my intuition in the process of establishing color harmonies and resolving compositional logjams. I rely on reason, deliberation, and an occasional emphatic stroke, like a drenching rain, to keep things moving.

Catherine Chauvin, “A Tangled Time”
This work began at an artist residency at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan Ireland. These low-tech prints focus on looking at how parasitic plant growth is complex, beautiful and a metaphor for something being revealed as it overwhelms other systems. The tangles of plant growth hint at both our current complicated world and how opportunistic elements affect us all.
