Phyllis Rider is showing solar etching prints, a challenging process that utilizes her creative skills. The solar plate is inked with Akua Soy based inks, carved into with various tools, exposed to the sun. This produces an etched plate that will then be inked again and run through an etching press to create a one of a kind finished product. Timing of the exposure to the sun and the mark making are part of her skills and experience.
