SYNC Gallery presents With or Without Hue by Lisa Calzavara

Sync Gallery's Third Friday artists' reception will be held on July 19 from 6-9 p.m., First Friday Art Walk on August 2 from 6-9 p.m.; Exhibition runs July 18 through August 10, 2019.

In her new series, Lisa Calzavara explores the idea of telling stories by transforming thoughts and emotions into abstract pictograms that form an unconscious language. The images are an effort to communicate the feelings and emotions that are difficult to put into words. Individual pieces can be combined with others to create greater meaning and express unconscious ideas. We can choose to accept these thoughts or simply change the perspective (orientation) of the piece to alter the meaning or sequence. This allows us to activate our imaginations and create our own unique abstract stories that express our passions, thoughts and dreams.

SYNC Gallery exhibits a variety of contemporary abstract and conceptual works by a collective of emerging and established artists. Each month select members display exciting work with a wide freedom of expression. Located in the Art District on Santa Fe in Denver – known for its vibrant arts scene – SYNC Gallery has become a destination for art lovers.

Gallery hours: Thursday 1-4 p.m., First & Third Friday 6-9 p.m., other Fridays 1-4 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., or by appointment.
