Nicole Korbe’s abstract paintings ride the edge of imagination and reality. Her use of colors and non-traditional painting tools result in images redolent of natural landscapes or city scenes. Resulting visions evoke moods ranging from soothing to energetic to dystopian.

Nicole’s painting methods include adding multiple layers of pigments, scraping through to reveal layers underneath, and an intuitive reaction when the image begins to manifest itself. This collection includes many of her newer pieces created in oil media, including oil pastel or oil pigments combined with cold wax medium.

Nicole Korbe will be at our Third Friday opening to share her stores with everyone. A great time to see all of the studios at Artists On Santa Fe gallery and studios.
