Colorado Ballet: Every Body Dance! Classes for Grades K - 2nd - No experience necessary!

After three successful weeks of online classes with our partner schools, the Education and Community Engagement Department at Colorado Ballet has decided to to open up our virtual classes to the public!

We are very excited to open up these classes to the public for students in grades K - 2nd. It has been an adventure for students and teaching artists alike, but we are in this together and are ready to continue in the challenge!

For $10/class, any students are invited to participate in a 30-45 minute live zoom class beginning next Wednesday, April 22nd at 3:00 pm (MST) with a teaching artist. These classes will be offered every Wednesday until May 27th. You can register for however many classes you like, but please keep in mind that registration will close TUESDAY, APRIL 21ST AT 12:00 PM MST for the classes listed below.

We are happy to offer this opportunity for the discounted rate of $10/class. Please note that the typical cost for these classes is $15/class; if you are able, we ask that you consider making an additional donation toward this programming. Due to the financial impact of COVID-19, Colorado Ballet is doing our best to support our teaching artists and students on a limited budget. As a nonprofit organization that relies on the support of the community, Colorado Ballet deeply appreciates your generosity.

If you have more than one student at home who would like to participate in these classes, please register each student individually and ensure the demographic information is unique to each student registered.

Access Gallery: Art in a Box

Like you, our artists are working from home. In addition to creating on their own at home, they have weekly touch-base meetings with their mentors and participate in our virtual classes and open studio. Art in the Box supports our mission of creating economic opportunities for people with disabilities to access, experience and benefit from the arts.

As many of us settle into our new at-home tempo—connecting virtually with colleagues, family and friends, answering emails from the makeshift desk at the kitchen counter, students learning from home, and a little more free time now that we are not spending time commuting to work and school.

Maybe you need some new artwork on the wall behind your make-do desk to brighten up your Zoom background? Perchance your student needs a fun break during their online learning day to read and color the Ultimate Volcanoman Comic Book? Wouldn’t it be a great gift to send to family and friends to brighten up their stay-at-home?

D'art Gallery: Walk Up Window Member Exhibition

D'art Gallery: Walk Up Window Member Exhibition

Prior to the Denver Mayor’s request to Stay at Home, D’art Gallery Members created a “Walk Up Window Members Exhibition” of small works by 14 gallery members on three walls facing the front door of D’art at 900 Santa Fe Drive.

D’art Gallery Members want to provide art to view while residents in the area are walking around Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe to get fresh air during this time when we cannot physically visit a gallery.

The exhibition will continue until the Mayor rescinds the Stay at Home request.

In the meantime, the art is available to view through the front door and online with a slide show on here.
